Buyers beware!!! EYE OF
BUDDHA is nothing but Glass
NAGA IS GLASS, YOU ARE BUYING CHEAP GLASS,
NOT AMULETS!
A while back I purchased a “gem” on
eBay from a Far East seller located in Thailand (this also applies to
Laos, Tibet, China etc…)
The stone is called the eye of Buddha, the sellers claim it
came from a river.
I liked the story and I didn’t mind spending a bit of money.
However, when I received the stone, it was a very heavy for
any type of gemstone. Having been in the jewelry business for 15 years, I have
never seen such a formation in natural gemstones.
I took it to a gem lab for identification and the stone was
identified to be man-made glass.
The eye of Buddha is nothing but cheap glass, full with Lead which which is not
healthy either.
This is not a good purchase unless you like spending a lot of
money for glass beads and a made up or misused story.
Thanks!
People, SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!
I HAVE TAKEN PIECES OF THE EYE OF BUDDHA I BOUGHT ON EBAY TO A MASTER GEMOLOGIST
FOR IDENTIFICATION.....IT'S NOTHING BUT GLASS!!!
It breaks my heart how people get taken for fools buying the so called Eye
of Buddha.
These are manufactured pieces of glass, there is no crystal formation called
the eye of Buddha.
Check the listings well, look at the weights listed on some of these, they
are in GRAMS not carats,
you know why?
The most DENSE gemstone in nature is Hematite, and even comparable size Hematite
does not weigh as much as these so called crystals.
WHY??? These are cheaply made glass beads which are loaded with LEAD.
And guess what? Lead is not good for you, you can absorb it through the skin and
the last thing you want is to put these next to a fire or burn these...you will
create LEAD FUMES.
HOW DO I KNOW THIS???
